The University of Warwick is a public research university located in Coventry, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1965 as part of a government initiative to expand access to higher education. It is organised into four faculties - Arts, Medicine, Science and Social Sciences; within which there are 32 departments.

Warwick has around 23,400 full-time students and 1,390 academic and research staff. Warwick consistently ranks in the top ten of all major rankings of British universities and it is the only multi-faculty institution aside from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge to have never been ranked outside of the top ten.

Warwick university is the most targeted university in the UK by top employers according to a High Fliers Research study. It was ranked 7th in the UK amongst multi-faculty institutions for the quality of its research in the 2008.

Warwick university is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), The Association of MBAs, European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), The European University Association, Russell Group and Universities UK.

Warwick university is located on the outskirts of Coventry, 5.5km Southwest of the city centre. The university's main site comprises three contiguous campuses, all within walking distance of each other.
